Fran's Friday Five

This week I have been liking...

Moulton New Series Double Pylon

We have one of these in-store and no matter how many times I walk past it I’m still struck by how incredibly beautiful it is. You can see for yourself at Moulton Week 2020.

Exposure Lights

I’ve been using the Exposure Lights Switch + Trace set over the last year. Powerful, lightweight, USB chargeable and constant or pulse modes. On constant mode it’s powerful enough to pick out potholes. Manufactured in the UK

Available in-store - £115

Riding on Rubber by Dan Farrell

Riding on Rubber details why the rubber industry came to Bradford on Avon and how it flourished there. Dan Farrell is of course Technical Lead at Moulton and worked with Dr Alex Moulton for several years. You can hear Dan giving a talk on Alex Moulton at Moulton Week 2020 at The Traditional Cycle Shop.

Available in-store - £9.75

Says - Nils Frahm

The song is a few years old but I’m currently slightly obsessed by it. It’s a long time since I listened to the same song four or five times in a row but this one has made me do that on more than one occasion recently.

Coventry Transport Museum - Cycle Collection

If you’re travelling to The Traditional cycle Shop and want to do additional things in the area, my first recommendation would be the Coventry Transport Museum. It houses the largest publicly owned collection of British vehicles in the world including 300 cycles. Coventry was once the world centre of bicycle manufacture and over a 100-year period there were more than 450 bicycle makers in the city.
