The Traditional Cycle Shop and Stratford Cycle Forum present an evening with award-winning author and journalist Julian Sayarer.

Julian Sayarer is a long-distance cyclist, author and journalist. In 2009 he broke the world record for a circumnavigation by bicycle, riding 18,000 miles through 20 countries.

Julian is author of 4 books, most recently All at Sea (2017), while 2016's Interstate - a hitchhiked journey of the US - won the Stanford Dolman Travel Book of the Year in a unanimous decision from the judges. Life Cycles and Messengers tell the stories of a bicycle circumnavigation and a London bike courier.

On Thursday 11th October at 7pm we will be hosting an evening with Julian at The Traditional Cycle Shop. With book readings and questions from the audience, Julian will draw on journeys by bicycle around Europe and a record-breaking circumnavigation of the world. He will explore the eternal themes of why we ride, the spirit of the open road and how cycling can build communities and transform lives in our towns and cities. Julian will also be selling and signing books on the night.

Tickets are £8 and can be purchased HERE.

Refreshments will be available at the Marina Café Bistro.
